This year’s event will showcase the vast impact soul music has had on the 21st century’s music and pop culture landscape. The talented and diverse lineup at VH1 DIVAS Celebrates Soul will provide a modern twist on soul music, while tipping their hats to the legacy of five key cities that created this musical heritage. Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J, Florence + The Machine and Jill Scott headline the list of stars set to pay homage to the legendary heritage of soul music founded in cities like Chicago, Detroit, London, Memphis and Philadelphia. Everyone's favorite house band The Roots are set to provide the backing music for the night. Chaka Khan, Erykah Badu, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Boyz II Men, Estelle, Marsha Ambrosius and Travie McCoy are also set to grace the stage during a night of memorable moments and unforgettable performances.
